If rejected, where will you apply?

Eh... hard to think about, but it'll probably happen to most of us.

I've filled out apps for Vanderbilt, Duke, SMU, and Belmont.

I think I might also try for Stanford and Harvard.

3 other ivies

B, C, C

USC and Stanford

Harvard, Chicago, Smith, plus a handful of uber-safeties.

I will enlist in the army.

brown, dartmouth, MIT, UPenn wharton. i've gotten into a few of my safeties in the UK, so it's all reach from now on :)

well, i've already applied to all my places

harvard, princeton, MIT, duke, washu, northwestern, johns hopkins, notre dame, michigan (i've been accepted here), arkansas (home state, backup - i've been accepted here and have a full ride)

Already applied to UF, UNC, Dartmouth, Williams, Amherst, (and Yale, obviously).
Left to apply: Brown, Cornell, Northwestern (Medill Journalism)

All of the Ivies (not for snob factor; due to financial circumstances, I get a MASSIVELY reduced price at all of the Ivies, so I have to consider even the ones I'm not partial to, unfortunately), Smith, Barnard, Mount Holyoke, Hampshire College, Bryn Mawr, Bowdoin, Wesleyan, Wellesley, Georgetown, and maaaybe Vassar. Prolly not, though, since I already have more colleges than anyone on earth. Five of the apps are free, though, which helps. =P

And I've already applied to Wells, Wes (all but the fee), Dartmouth, Harvard, Georgetown and Smith. So at least I won't spend ALL break doing apps. ;)

Brown, Dartmouth, Cornell, Duke, UVA, BC, Notre Dame

Thank goodness I finished my applications in October... after a most likely rejection or deferral from Yale, I don't know how much motivation I would have to fill out more applications!

If I get rejected/deferred, I'm applying to UChicago, Stanford, Penn, Rice, Tufts, Occidental College (safety), and I already applied to Harvard. I would add some more schools to my list, but my school won't let me. Which might be a problem if I get rejected/deferred because that decreases my chances of going to college next year...

"I would add some more schools to my list, but my school won't let me."

why won't your school let you apply to more? this is YOUR college future, after all, not the school's

At D's school there is no restriction on the number of applications but there is a "last request" date for transcripts. All requests had to be in by Dec 11. So in her case, she cannot just add new applications on Tuesday after Yale's notification.

Harvard (submitted)
Princeton
Penn
Columbia
Dartmouth

McGill
University of British Columbia
University of Western Ontario

omg iviez. I have good safeties in Canada so all the schools in the States are reaches that give money to Canadians.

I already applied to all of my schools except for one, and I'm going to finish that app either this weekend or over winter break.

Penn, WashU, GWU, Tufts, Columbia, Emory, Georgetown (still need to finish part 2), BC, Pitt (already accepted) UConn

I love all of my schools. A LOT. That's the only thing that's keeping me from going absolutely insane over my impending doom on Monday.

In order of my preference: Brown, Princeton, Penn, Stanford, Harvard, Washington University in St. Louis, Macalester, and Boston College.

Erm..let's see, I already submitted apps for Dartmouth and Boston U. Left to go: Williams, Cornell, Columbia, Georgetown, Slaughterin' Stanford, Pomona, and a bunch of safeties. :P It will be a busy winter break if deferred/rejected.

I have an intense passion for the University of Chicago and some benefits for familiar faces if I go there (but I love meeting new people and Yale is, well, my inamorata).

Other schools: Stanford, Brown, Columbia, WashU, and UIUC (safety).

I've barely started on any of them...

@PeytonCline

Heh... I'm from Arkansas too. I've been accepted there also.

harv, jhu, brown, umaryland, tufts, princeton, drexel, stanford.

In order of preference (I've already applied), WashU, Cornell, Northwestern, Harvard, U of I (I got acceptd last night). I might finish my app. to USC, but I doubt it.
