Western Career College. All eight campuses.

YOU CAN DO IT!

How about... who cares?????

Does Caltech even have an athletics department?

A West Coast Ivy League...hmm......because I'm damn bored, I'll do it :-D

In no particular order...
UCB
UCLA
Pomona
USC
Caltech
Stanford
Reed?
Claremont McKenna?
Harvey Mudd?
Whitman?

Beats the hell out of me...Stanford might as well be in the Ivy Leage though considering how many kids apply there along with HYP like it's a buy 3, get one free package or something.

West Coast Ivy League

Cal Tech

someone make a list without mixing state schools and private schools...

why ptmagnolia? all of the major athletic conferences have a mix of private/public schools (ACC- Duke/UNC; Big East- uconn/georgetown; etc etc). maybe you mean just large universities and not small lacs? that would make the most sense

why would the west coast have an ivy league ;)
In that case:
1. Stanford
2. UC Berkeley
3. Caltech
4. HMC
5. Pomona
6. UCLA
7. USC
8. Claremon McKenna

Ivy League is a sports conference.

They do have their own ivy league.. .it's called the Pacific-10

There aren't enough schools of Ivy-caliber, in my opinion. I think only CalTech/Stanford/Berkeley/UCLA/Pomona/CMC would probably qualify. Maybe Harvey Mudd/UCSD too. This is just a league based on academics though. If we're talking about sports then a "West Coast Ivy League" makes no sense.

And when we talk "West Coast" we're really only talking about California. ;)

Honestly only Cal, Stanford, and Pomona would qualify.

..and mudd ;-)

and uhhhhh....caltech!

jeez

Lol, true.

Definitely add Whitman, maybe University of Puget Sound?

yes, i know all of the major athletic conferences have a mix of private/public schools, but when most people think of the ivy league these days, they think of a group of the most elite private colleges in the north east, rather than just an athletic conference. making a west coast equivalent wouldn't work as well (i.e. elite private universities in relatively the same location).
