if one was waitlisted when applying as a freshmen...does that give any edge when applying as a transfer for the next fall...enterting as a soph?

Your past experience with our admissions office doesn't factor into your transfer application. You start afresh each time, whether you were admitted, WLed, or denied.

hmmm...thats interesting to OP...the fact that you got that far means that you had the credentials to get in....compared to a lot of the applicants that were denied or had horrible high school stats...i think itll make you a competitive applicant if you do well in college.

Libby, I know that applicants sometimes chat with their regional admissions officer if an application does not result in an acceptance. Would this be appropriate for the OP to do in this situation?

when i called to ask a/b weakeness in my app. this year they said it was against policy to discuss personal/individual applications w/ applicants

Against policy? eh? I've talked to some admissions people about my app? What aren't they allowed to discuss..?

they said they wouldnt talk about the weaknesses in my application...like things i could specifically work on to improve my transfer thing. they were the only school that i dealt w/ this year that wouldnt essentially tell me why i didnt get in.

I see. =

But colleges are weird about who they accept or don't. Just apply again. Good luck. =]

thanks and trust me i will definitely be applying :)
