If we get bad Spring grades prior to transfer, will a UC cancel our admission?

I read somewhere that if we get bad grades for spring even though we get accepted, it can jeopardize our transfer chances...

Like let's say I get accepted but I get all C's this semester, when I usually get A's, will they cancel my admission?

Obviously if you get a D yeah you don't get credit but I'm talking about C's here.

Yup. Your admission is officially known as a “conditional offer of admission.” You’ll be required to maintain a certain GPA in the spring semester and if you don’t, they can and will revoke your admission offer.

Last year for UCI, you had to carry a 2.8 (I believe) in the spring semester.

The conditional admission usually stipulates that you need to maintain a 3.0 average and can’t get any grades for spring below a C.

unless you have a really good excuse, your admission can be totally rescinded. The spring semester when you’re being, or after you’ve been, accepted is the most important one. don’t mess it up.

Just try your best, get the 60 units minimum you need, and don’t flunk out of anything! Getting rescinded from my dream school would be so tragic for me. LOL. So that keeps me motivated!

what if you’re not taking any classes during spring semester? I just didn’t want to deal with anything and I’m done with all the classes.

If you’re not taking classes, then you won’t have a GPA, so you’re fine.

^ good to hear :)

Time to go back to being a vegetable :)
