when the sun goes down, im sure you will know what to do. ^^

i think they have events for fall welcome, you should get a catalog when you move in. it's a good idea to look for your classrooms before school starts, so you won't get loss or be late.

hahahha to Bmbmasta xD

There isn’t much information available at the moment but, keep your eye on http://fallwelcome.ucdavis.edu

can my sister spend the next three days with me after i move in (hopefully ill get a single) i mean is that allowed? she doesnt go to davis

College kids (even with roomates) have visitors all the time. If you do have a roomie just be polite and clear it with them first. :)

If you plan to join a sorority or fraternity this is the week when rush takes place.

I think there's a rule on how long you can have a guest stay... I can't remember too well, but you could probably do it anyways.

Do you have to move in on the 22nd?

you can move in any day following your assigned date

you're technically only allowed to have someone spend the night in your room 7 times a quarter. That would be 7 times for you and your roomate combined. From past experience it is not closely monitered.

If I can remember, I believe for the few days before class there are some activities held by your building going over basic campus and dorm information.

^So do you have to attend that, or isn't all of that information already covered on Orientation Day?

the four days between moving in & classes is really the calm before the storm. enjoy what is left of your free time. there are plenty of social events you recieve a list, no a calender, of them. i recommend you get use to the campus, buy your books, meet people, get to know your roomates.

Good Luck,

enjoy your freshmen year. its the only time you get to slack off before all hell breaks loose...

^ That was sure a downer of a post. ;)

i didn't intend to bring you down. merely inform you. enjoy your freshmen year, you only get one. typically you get busy in the years after freshemen year, with all other responsibilities: work, bills, on top of classes--upper division classes, graduation--grad school. But in interim, your freshmen year is relatively less stressful than the others.

Im just advising you to enjoy it while you can...

Good Luck :)

I didn't think it was a downer. Thanks for being honest.
