This past summer I took Math 2 at my community college just to get a feeling for college level math...I ended up getting a C in it (the professor was retarded and screwed us all over with no curve on his perniciously difficult final exam).

I took the class for "fun"....I don't really want the credits for it.

Do I have to report this to the colleges? I'm applying to Boston University, Boston College, and Vanderbilt.

I believe you have to. At least that's what my counselor and the VPs at my school keep emphasizing. They keep saying that if you don't and the school finds out, then they'll rescind your decision. I would do it just to be safe.

yes if you want your grades in those classes considered when your application is evaluated

i didn't take a class at a community college, but I did at a state school (UCSD) and I didn't send in my transcripts... until I got a letter from one school claiming I had to.

Well I don't want my C considered when my application is evaluated.

how would the college ever find out that I took the class if I didn't send the transcript? (Besides...its not even a big deal..its just a class I took for "personal fulfillment" but did poorly in because it was so hard.)
