if you are a current math phd student please reply

I want to know real statistics of people who got into math phd programs ! if you would, could you leave a comment stating the college you got your undergrad in, your undergrad gpa, gre scores, research, ect. Then could you also state the grad school you got into. THANK YOU :)

There forums are geared to undergraduate college search and admissions. There is a forum for grad school, but it isn’t as busy, so if anyone wants to give you that info you won’t get too many. What good will that do you anyway? You’d be better off talking to your department and the profs to see who has entered grad school from there.

that was so insightful…thank you lol

Acceptance rates for grad programs aren’t published, except for a few. Profs in college should be able to give you an estimate based on previous offers made to students from that college. People here who’ve been accepted into such programs could give you an idea of what it takes, but it would be too small of a sample (and thus not very reliable for predictions).

Check out this thread for tips on how to prepare for grad school admissions -some of the stuff you can start doing as a freshman, such as looking for research opportunities.
