If you are a fan of the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon

I don’t remember any of those characters except Fergus and Master Raymond! Ugh, I guess we have to get through this season to get to the next one.

Fergus is the cutest! I love that Mouton is in there. I think Master Raymond looks like I imagined, and the actress from harry Potter for Mother Hildegard is perfect.

I don’t remember Joseph Duverney, The Painted Lady, “Wife” or Madame Elise?

Apparently Sister Angelique was not so named in the books.

And yup - no Brianna or Roger yet. I have no idea how they’re going to handle the time change in this season, it’s been hinted that it won’t be quite like the book. (thank God, I say, I hated the beginning of DiA).

I am waiting for 2nd half season 1 to be on DVD or Amazon. Where does Season 1 end, at the end of book 1?

@ITBgirl, yes, it ends where the book ended.

It comes to DVD end of September. And yes, it ends where the book ends…a little different ending but same basic spot.

I just read that season 2 won’t start until March 2016. Yikes.

Found this cute little Outlander bloopers clip:

Just read that Brianna Randall will make an appearance in Season 2:

http://www.scotlandnow.dailyrecord.co.uk/lifestyle/outlander-season-two-spoiler-alert-6310404

? She was in DiA, why wouldn’t she be in S2?

SPOILER:

@OHMomof2, there had been speculation that they would not follow the book in terms of revealing the “end” of the book at the beginning, as DG did. No casting for Brianna has been announced, which fueled that speculation. Even now, there have been reports that season 2 will not open in the future as the book did.

I remember when I first read DIA, I was so upset with the opening. What?!?! She’s left Jamie?!?!? They have a daughter?!? How could she go back after she had her epiphany at the stones in Outlander?!

Just saw that the casting call for Brianna has only recently been made public:

Ah gotcha. I also saw an interview with Ron where he said the timing will be different. I’m fine with that

Maybe they’ll just pop Bri and Roger in towards the end…I’m not sure the TV-only people could handle that shock!!

I’ve been out of the OL universe for a bit, the wait is just too long for season 2 for me to follow right now.

For those of us who haven’t been able to see S1 part 2, it’s out on Amazon Prime in less than two weeks.

I recently bought the 7 book series for my Kindle (MOHB not included) for $1

Season 2 Trailer is out!

April 9th premiere!

The trailer looks great! Can’t wait!

I don’t know if you all heard, but Amazon Prime now offers a Starz “add-on” subscription, so you don’t need cable to get Outlander when it comes out: https://www.amazon.com/gp/video/offers/signup?ie=UTF8&benefitID=starzSub&hvadid=78978172971&hvdev=c&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvpone=&hvpos=1t1&hvptwo=&hvqmt=b&hvrand=8980272720361787249&ref=DVM_US_RP_SM_aosstarz&ref=pd_sl_8645hb5ic2_b&tag=googhydr-20

It’s no Outlander, but the White Queen, also on Starz, was very good. Season One is free with Amazon Prime. I thought of it because the White Princess has just gotten the green light to go at Starz as well. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/white-queen-sequel-series-a-863514

All of season one is free on starz.com for a bit: http://www.starz.com/originals/outlander/episodes?cid=ols2_s1sampling

So…thoughts?

I loved the first half of ep 1, I thought it was really well done and maybe made more sense than the books, even. I’m not that fond of the Paris stuff so far, in either of the first two episodes.

I bought the Prime add-on, by the way.

I’m looking forward to seeing some of the characters who will be introduced this week. Fergus, Mother Hildegarde. I think the pace of the Paris episodes will start to pick up now. If you haven’t read the books this is sort of spoiler-ish so stop reading now.

Also looking forward to meeting young Lord John at Prestonpans and Murtagh’s revenge.

okay, I loved the first episode of season 2. In episode 2, DH was dying laughing about the “honeypot” thing.

I’m glad to see that they aren’t glossing over the ongoing trauma that Jamie would be experiencing.

Loving the show!
