if you chance me, ill chance you back guaranteed.

What are my chances for michigan, umaryland, umiami, uflorida and vanderbilt?

I am a white male from Long Island, NY and I go to a very competitive school, ranked 14th on Newsweek.

My primary choice is michigan and I would apply there asap.

My essay will be very strong as well as recommendations.

I'd say you've got a chance at UF and UMd, slight reach for UMiami and UMich, and probably a reach for Vandy.

Be sure to inform the colleges on how you do in your science competitions, they can make or break you at vandy and mich.

I'd say you have a pretty good chance to get into all those schools, except for vandy and mich, where you still have decent shot

i'd say it all comes down to your senior year for michigan and vandy, the rest are matches.

I think if you apply early, and have a UMich GPA of over 3.75-3.8; then I'd say you have a pretty good chance for UMich.

UMich GPA

4 - A
3 - B
2 - C
1 - D
0 - F

For sophomore + junior years, only academic classes.

I had a friend who got into the engineering school with around those stats, but had a 3.9 GPA. He was from NJ/NY area.

You should have a good shot at mich. Your ACT's are in the upper range (i think michigan's 25th/75th percentile is 26-30, but i may be mistaken), and your high SAT I and II scores should help, as should the AP's. Your gpa is good as well, and your extra curricular's are great. I'd say accepted.

(Safety) In at Miami.
(Match/Safety) Great chance at Maryland and Florida.
(Match/Reach) Decent chance at Vanderbilt and Michigan.

Your ACT will help you, as will Siemens if you got any recognition.

<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=293128%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=293128</a></p>

University of Miami looks good, I'd say in, it could even be a safety.

Michigan is more of a slight reach, due to being OOS. Vanderbilt also looks like a slight reach.

Florida could be a slight reach, again, due to OOS.

now me!:<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=298190%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=298190</a></p>

GPA: 3.77 UW 4.1 W
you have a shot.

one of my good friends who is a senior got in umich by taking only 2 AP's and a 1300 on his SATS. ???

anyone pleasee

ur Ecs are looking great, your SAT and ur grades are above average. I'd say u have a solid shot in all of them, with Vandy as a reach

i dont know if this helps but i had religious education classes from kindergarten to 8th grade (approx. 400 classes) and i never missed a single one, i might write my essay on this

Kay, but you have to chance me afterwards.

The science stuff is impressive and shows a passion, lots of volunteer work, and dedication to sports... Over 2000 on the SAT, and a great GPA.

I'd say,

Miami - Safety or match
UFlorida - Safety or match
UMD - Match-ish
Vanderbilt - Match or slight reach ?
Michigan - Match or slight reach ?

You could prob get into at least one of either Vand or Mich.

Good luckk.

Michigan-50%
U Maryland-70%
U Miami-70%
U Florida-70%
Vanderbilt-45%

Depending on your rank, you could receive a scholarship from UMiami.

i might possibly go to UMIch this summer for a summer program for a few weeks, will that helpe my chances at mich?

id say you have a very good shot at all of those schools, you're scores are better than mine and i got into michigan and i also applied to miami so i dont think you have anything to worry about really

in order of chance (greatest to lowest)
umiami, uflorida, umaryland, umich, vanderbilt
