<p>Hello,
Before you chance me i guess it would be smart to lay out my stats.
I'm a community college student in MD with 3.78 GPA looking to transfer for my upcoming junior year. My coursework has included various honors courses and i have the honors student notation on my transcript.</p>

<p>My extracurriculars:
Freelance photographer: I have shot events at the Supreme Court as well as for local musicians and event organizers. I also do fashion shoots as well as nightlife on occasions. Finally in addition to this I have also shot weddings and other such events. For a look at my work I might as well post my website. Inertia Photography and Videography (I need a better name I know!)</p>

<p>I also am videographer and I have shot videos for my community college highlighting the coursework that the students had to do (Montgomery College Archaeology Dig - YouTube). On the side I also shoot music videos for musicians as well.</p>

<p>I am an intern at SBCA, which is closely tied to Dish Networks and works with them to provide benefits for their workers.</p>

<p>Photographer for local sport blog that covers events sports teams in the area.</p>

<p>Lastly, I am the head photographer for a student run journal that showcases art from student at the college.</p>

<p>What do you think my chances are for UNC-Ch and NYU. Be honest!</p>

<p>So far I have gotten into:</p>

<p>UConn
Syracuse U - Newhouse! (so expensive though)<br>
and St. John U (Safety)</p>

Your gpa is pretty great, and the fact that you’re in honors courses is even better. You seem to be passionate about photography/videography, I’m sure they’ll see it :slight_smile:

<p>I think you definetly have a good shot at both of those schools, probably a greater shot at UNCCH, just since Tisch is so selective. Probably 60% at NYU, 65% at UNCCH</p>

<p>Problem with all your schools is that they are all expensive. So unless you have an EFC of 0 you will have trouble paying for any of those schools. Hopefully you get into Chapel Hill because that is the best school for you financially.</p>
