If you could do one thing over your freshman year, what would it be?

im just curious what everyone might do over.. =]

Get more involved and join more organizations as well as be more serious about school sooner. The semester just flies by and before you know it it's over.

Take AP Psychology so I wouldn't have to take it my sophmore year <.<

Lived in a freshmen res hall even if its crowded and comunal bathrooms. do not live in a spacious/antisocial suite or apartment style dorm your first year. granted, the space and privacy was nice but its much harder to make friends as a first year.

Write X-mas cards. I bought a stack of cards but they are still sitting on my desk...

Pick another damn major.

forget my last post...I thought I was in the high school forum for some reason <.<

Make friends earlier. Sometimes I feel like I wasted my first semester because I didn't have any friends until my second semester and just basically sat in my room not doing anything all the time until I actually went out and met people.

Get to know more girls. Seriously.

i am in my freshman year( 2nd half) and i regret not getting a 4.0 in the first semester. i have a 3.6 but it could have been better( thanks to my english teacher for ruining my grade, the only non-A grade in all my courses)

I would have taken another course other than Poli 100. Did well in it, but it was boring as hell and now I don't have as much room left for electives. Other than that my first year was great - I was in this program called "Arts One" which is one of those interdisciplinary humanities ones with a kickass reading list. LOVED it.

Met and made a real effort to get to know more people.

(I met a nice group, and continued to meet new people throughout college, but there really is no time for it like freshman year. Metaphorically, everyone's door is wide open.)

branched out more in the beginning.. dont try to impress everyone

not find a roommate on facebook through one of those poll things and request her

signed up for a spring break service trip earlier in the year becasue now its too late

Been more confident and pursuant with one of my female friends.

Well, I would continue to work out

Live in a suite-style dorm.

go to class

realize that although I was pretty smart, I needed help adjusting to college-level work--especially writing and reading (and after realizing it, seeking the help I needed)

taken my math requirement and gotten rid of it right away

Electric - why suite style?

Taken Calc. 2 instead of retaking Calc. 1 for an 'easy A' (should have used the AP credit; boy, was that a huge mistake).

Taken Modern Physics instead of General Chemistry 2; advisers are incompetent idiots.

To the above poster, why would u have taken Calc 1. ?
I'm taking BC calc right now and doing pretty well.. But since I want to go to Med school and I know they don't accept ap credit, I see no point of using the credit , just to take a harder class next year in college.
