I would have applied to Rutgers, Rice, and Purdue.

Hmm, I possibly would have applied to Davidson or Carleton instead of Swarthmore and possibly Yale, but I'm pretty happy with the way things have turned out.

I would have applied to Claremont McKenna and Pomona. And that's it, I think.

I think that I am pretty happy with where I ended up applying...I mean there's always a what-if but you cant dwell on that ;)

I would have:
1.applied to no pharmacy schools. I don't want to do that anymore, so it was moot to do it

2.I would have applied to another in state public like Ohio State instead of the one I did. One of my publics is really expensive to be in state and the other I just don't like

3.I would have applied to UMIch, which is kind of like a bigger version of Case Western, which I really like

4.I would have applied to less in-state schools so my dad wouldn't bug me about staying in state all the time

5.finally, I would have not made a fool of myself at my interview

I wouldve applied to princeton, washu and cornell

lol cele what interview are you referring too?

my Penn interview. Worst interview ever. It's one of those things where during you think it went great and 5 minutes after you wonder if you were under the influence of something. And it was REALLY short.

lol sorry to hear that celebrian :( but maybe you just wowed them so much in the first couple of minutes that in order to take you down a peg or two, they made it seem as though you did terrible lol ;)
but seriously maybe you werent meant to go to Penn?

I guess I didn't expect it to be the way it was. It was so open-ended. Like he asked me what am I like, what do I do? And I sat there freaking out and no words would come out! But as I've heard the interview isn't a big deal, I hope!

I wish i had found CC sooner.

same here, but I wish I found it so I would have known how competitive getting into college really is. Going to a mediocre HS with around 1,000 kids skews your perception.

But I would not have done it any different. One college application was enough for me :)

at least your penn interview wasn't one of the ones in which you know you bombed it after 3 minutes of talking to the lady....and by the end of the designated 30 minutes, you're more intimidated than when you walked in.

Yeah...I wouldn't have bombed my interview if i were to do this over.

I applied to Michigan (got in wayyy early), then Duke, Brown, Columbia, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and Northwestern. Got waitlisted at Brown (my first choice), but in at Columbia and Northwestern. Went to Columbia and hated it, transferred to Dartmouth and loved it.

Had I the chance to do it again I would have applied to more schools. I would have dumped Columbia (which was a terrible fit), and added Penn, Dartmouth, and Amherst. ED Dartmouth or Brown.

After everything, I still don't feel a particular school is there for me. I'm at a great place that has many things few other schools offer, but it's not as if I would not be happy elsewhere. I guess I'd consider looking out of state more seriously (as opposed to not at all), perhaps looking into Rice, and see if I could experience a frozen Northeast winter to see if I liked it (and then consider certain places up there). I'd also take Spanish class more seriously (not just get A's like I did, but actually learn the language). And maybe get a better vocabulary (SAT verbal studying). My scores, although decent, were below my level of intelligence. I could have preped way better. But still, it's worked out fine so far.

U Michigan
It's really a great school, moderately priced, big time sports and spirit, and graduating from the honors college there would opened a lot of doors.

London School of Economics
They have an awesome International Relations Program, cheaper than American schools, London is outstanding, and you graduate in 3 years, not 4.

Bowdoin
I started to apply but then I just gave up,(not sure why)

Washington & Lee
I let everyone's opinion of how preppy/ richy rich it is scare me off

I applied to (Claremont McKenna, Colgate, Dartmouth, Georgetown, Illinois Wesleyan, Kenyon, Lafayette, Miami (FL), Vanderbilt, Wellelsey, Williams.)
