If you could go back in time(max 10-12 yrs), what would you change?

i would pick a different HS to go to.

A lot. I would actually study in middle school and my first 2 years of high school. As a junior, my gpa is low. I would do more community service. I would not eat so much(overweight now). I would practice basketball more to get on the team. I would engage myself with people.

I regret staying home from activities where I could've made friends.

^ I'd probably take my SAT my soph year rather than Junior

and also I think I'll push harder on the department head peoples to let me into their honors classes.

I would:

Definitely work harder during my first semester junior year. But since I cant go back, Im going to working my brains out this second semester.

Not quit cross country last year. I realized I was as busy as I thought I was going to be. I miss running and talking and meeting people from other schools during the meets :[

DEFINITELY should have picked different classes. Instead of Leadership 1, which is really a complete waste of time and teaches no leadership whatsoever, I should have taken AP Psych. and Chem instead of P.E. And I should have known better than to talk with my counselor, who is COMPLETELY USELESS AND KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT COLLEGE and seems to want to make students mad. I most definitely shoudl have talked to the vice principal.

Nothing.
It's insane to think I can change any one thing, even one little thing, and expect it to have the single effect I'm aiming for. Most likely it'll mess everything up, and I like my life. I'd only change something if I absolutely hated my life.

I would've
1) Bought music somewhere other than iTunes, now I'm kind of stuck with crappily encrypted music

2) Not embarrassed myself in college by ranking the people I knew in order of how much I liked them, then thoughtlessly showing it to the person ranked lowest on the list

3) Not embarrassed myself by posting personal things on College Confidential, it turns out a lot of people from school read this forum and I am easily identifiable

4) Not put off writing my paper for a year, because now my advisor probably hates me and he's the one who's writing me a reference for grad school

4.5) Not worried as much about people stealing my work and screwing me out of authorship, she might be an ass but did I really need a first-author paper? It kind of took the fun out of research for me.

5) Become a vegetarian sooner

6) Collaborated more on problem sets freshman year

7) Not abused my body in high school, good grades are not worth 4 hours of sleep a night

8) Finished abstract algebra instead of taking an F, because I totally could've gotten an A if I'd bothered to turn in the assignments

Everything else I'm a-okay with

i would have done more communitiy service

I wouldn't have tried so hard in middle school.
Go to a better high school and try SO much harder.
Think a lot more about SAT's and college.

NOTHING.

Good judgment comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgment.

I would have begged my parents to put me into public school sooner.
My last 3-4 years of private school did absolutely nothing but hold me back.

Everything

Back 12 years, I would be 6.

I would not be a quiet kid who did nothing but sit there. I would try to be a trouble maker.

1st, I would've decided to be a nerd with my head always in a book going into freshmen year, because now, (currently a junior) I am paying for slacking off my freshmen/sophomore year =.

2nd, I wish i would've took/played piano instead of trumpet. About 2 years ago, I got into producing and playing piano is a lot more beneficial then the trumpet lol. Although, learning to play by ear isn't all bad.

Well...I would be like 2-4 yrs old.

1) Start off "extracurricular activities." Start some instrument and some sport 'cause I'm really far behind if I want to start now. When I was little, I did nothing but watch TV while everyone else learned stuff that they're probably competing with these days. Everyone's probably on a sports team or w/e and I'm...idk if you can put "co-owning a big website" on your resume.

2) Enjoyed myself. I was so shy and couldn't leave my parents for like a second.

I would have liked to be more obnoxious during middle school, now knowing that all detentions/suspensions are stricken from your record upon entering HS and all of your grades don't mean anything (well...until 8th grade for HS placement).

Nothing, I am who I am.

dang i should have falcon punched my teachers

Nothing, except maybe play more sports. I wish I was a baller...

pick up a guitar and start practicing like hell until i become the next Jimmy Hendrix or something...
