For those of you who have completed the college admissions process and attend top schools, do you think all of the effort you put in during high school was worth it? Is there anything about the experience that you wish you could change or do differently?

If i could go back, I'd take state. Yeah... if Coach woulda put me in fourth quarter, we would've been state champions. No doubt. No doubt in my mind. Hey.. have you ever come across anything like.. time travel?

Anyways, yes it was worth it and I wish I spent more time relaxing since now that I have a great internship at a great school, it seems like all the times I was stressing about an essay or test was unneeded. Especially senior year, I could've blew off all my work and got straight B's or C's and enjoyed myself.

Ifecollegeguy, I want to get into a great school just as much as anybody, but sometimes I wonder if we're placing too much importance on all of this and forgetting to live our lives. I know kids at my school with incredible SAT scores because of pushy parents who force test prep class after class on their kids, but when you talk to them its like their brains are made of cheese or something. There's also kids who could care less about college admissions but are so well-read and intelligent. Most of the "top" kids at my school admitt to needing their parents to wake them up in the morning or they will sleep in all day. Are these the kind of kids that are filling the top schools?

Well, I'm an incoming senior but I can say that, without a doubt, I would have preferred to relax a bit more these past 3 years. In the end, it's the experience that really matters!

I wouldn't have changed a thing. I'm going to an awesome school next year, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Restart my life
