By now many have gotten their acceptance or not accepted letters. With that being said, if you could have done this process over what would have you done differently.

my top 2
1. Apply earlier
2. Read the instructions better

probably write better essays

I came up with the perfect topic a week after I turned in my application. i won't say that it would have gotten me admitted to alot of places I got rejected in, but the difference between a horrible essay and a brilliant one has a large impact on application appeal.

Instead of applying to so many safties, I would apply to more reaches. I thought I had 5 "insane" reaches, but I didn't get any rejections. Only a waitlist at Carleton. If I could get into good schools like Wellesley and Grinnell, why didn't I apply Reed, Vassar, and Wesleyan?

Flutter,

that's exactly what I've been preaching on this site forever. I never understand more than a couple safeties, but focusing on reaches is much more useful. I wish I did the same myself back when I applied.

better essays probably.

I'm not really satisfied with my college results, but I don't think I would have changed anything... I enjoyed myself during high school, and hopefully I'll enjoy myself just as much in college- even if its not where I thought I would end up attending

applied to sarah lawrence

Absolutely nothing...I don't want to do this ever again. :p

But honestly, there really isn't anything I'd do differently...other than take a couple AP classes somewhere in high school. I'm happy with my results though, and the way things turned out...so really, nothing.
