“Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then do not be so eager to deal out death in punishment.”

Haha this is an interesting thread… it just goes to show how intense and intellectual everyone here on CC is, when I first read the thread title, I thought of people like Justin Bieber, but here you all are arguing about the ramifications of murdering Osama bin Laden XD

Necrobump but this is the stupidest post I’ve ever read. Say I shot your parents right now and killed you and your infant brother (let’s say you have one) for good measure. why did you all deserve to die?

I wouldn’t kill anyone.

Probably Glenn Beck. You might say that no one deserves to die, but this guy is just ****ed up. He actually has people believing that the government is going to make them slaves. I mean LITERAL slaves. Not punk rock “corporate drones”, but actual slaves.

Public hangings, firing sqauds, lethal injection ftw

To answer OP’s question:

Probably myself or my brother. No reason in particular, besides the fact that very few will be affected or have a reason to grieve at our deaths. Plus, it’ll save folks money in the long run.

^ You can’t be serious, right?

Fred Phelps maybe? But he’s going to die soon anyways.

Kim Jong-Il?

Meh. It doesn’t actually matter is these people die. As someone before mentioned, they will simply be replaced.

I don’t have the guts or motivation to kill anyone though. =/

^^Well, that usually depends on my frame of mind. When I am feeling sane, then that post would not apply.

^Let nature do its job.

-Shakes head- The question isn’t “who deserves to die,” it’s “if you could kill anyone…” and I assume the rest to be “who would it be?” So, to me, that implies an abandonment of one’s morals, since it’s a completely hypothetical situation. Therefore, the question of deserving doesn’t matter.

Btw, my answer is, hm, let’s see…Yeah Glenn Beck sounds good.

To abandon morals, one would have had to have them in the first place.

From the looks of things, people on here have morals.
If you don’t have any, you can’t answer this question.

If you have no morals, then you can answer this question (i.e. who would you kill) directly.

But yes, I agree with you on the “deserves to die” front. It’s no one’s job to determine that.

No, because then you couldn’t make a real “decision.” In order to decide who you’d kill, you have to have values of some kind. The only way you’d do it is randomly, but that’s not a “decision.”

you guys are taking this way too seriously lol, just a thought

No I agree
I just can’t wait for World Lit honors next year. I know the teacher, and this is going to be a good part of the class >D

I feel like I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if i didn’t take the opportunity to bump anyone off. I mean obviously I wouldn’t kill an innocent, but the chance to kill [and not risk myself or national security or anything like that] someone who hates and murders and instigates genocide? I don’t know about you, but I’d have more issues with my conscience for not ensuring some small measure of peace and safety to people than for taking a life.

I would kill if it meant saving more life than the one lost, in accordance with justice, as in the one I was killing was intentionally trying to cause the death of multiple others for selfish, cruel, irrational, prejudiced reasons, and I would possibly kill in self-defense if there was no other possible way to save myself. Even though i don’t like the idea of taking someone’s life, when other lives are at stake I try to approach it statistically (assuming that the person I’m killing is in the wrong, otherwise I don’t know what I’d do).

But at the same time I’ve never been in this situation, so I might just chicken out and do nothing. Hopefully I’ll never have to make this decision.
