If you could major in anything you wanted, in as MANY things that you wanted, what would they be?

I know you're supposed to study what you love but I know a lot of people who are studying something they don't really like because of the job prospects. Not that there's nothing wrong with that. I'm definitely majoring in something I love but IDK what I'm gonna do with it, lol. Also, I wish I could like major in 6 things but alas, I can't.

Current Majors: English + Communications with a Concentration in Creative Writing and maybe a Latino Studies Minor
I would keep these two majors and add:
Sociology
Political Science
Spanish
Italian Literary and Cultural Studies
and maybe something like economics or finance.
And minor in Urban and Community Studies, Human Development and Family Studies and History. :P

How about you guys? Also, what is your major right now?

I’m a chemistry or biochemistry major (haven’t declared yet) and I WISH I had room to minor in theatre, art history, and creative writing. I don’t think I could major in any particular art, science is the only thing I have the attention span to flood my life with, but I love having them in my life. but alas, even with significant IB credit at a liberal arts college with very loose gen-ed requirements, I don’t have time to complete a science major, study abroad, and take as many art classes as I would like.

I’d like to major in more than 2 subjects as well. I’m a bio major right now, but I’d also like to be geology, sociology, history, english and psychology.

I’m actually hoping to minor in sociology because I really liked my intro class. I know that’s not always a reflection on the rest of the courses, but I’m probably going to give it a try. If it doesn’t work out I can fit in a geo minor easily.

I’m an Animal Science major. I wish I could also major in vocal performance, theatre, illustration, computer science, psychology, Japanese, and linguistics. But that’s not possible. :C

Philosophy, theology, biology, math, and pretty much everything related to music–several performance degrees, theory/composition, conducting, etc…

I’m going to be a bio major, but if it was physically possible I’d love to also get degrees in Physics, English, and PoliSci, with a minor in French. If only…

I’m a French and Theatre major, so I’m definitely majoring in what I want to major in.

But if I wasn’t so afraid of the time commitment with learning difficult maths and sciences, I would definitely either major in chemistry or Engineering. I’m completely fascinated by trains and any type of mass public transportation system, so I would love to be an engineering major and work on designing those types of things. I’m also completely fascinated by chemistry.

Just for fun, I’m really thinking about taking Calculus as my second math and taking the major Chemistry as one of my science classes. I’m a total geek who loves to be challenged, and this semester really wasn’t challenging at all. A 4.0 is nice… but I’d really rather be taking at least one challenging course and get a B in it than have to go through easy classes and get all A’s. I actually enjoy learning.

Uh no it’s not a stupid question. I wouldn’t major in a lot of things like Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Linguistics, Math, etc. Don’t like it, don’t click on the thread next time.

I would add the Ecology, Evolution, and Biodiversity major. I can’t double major or minor, because my college has a rule in place that says if the plant sciences department hosts the major, you can only choose one. Plant sciences hosts both. Boo.

My DD is majoring in dance. She would also like to add Secondary Ed with a History major but she wants to be able to graduate in 4 years so not sure if this is possible. She absolutely loves what she is doing.

I’m an East Asian Studies and Linguistics major. If I was good at math and science, I’d add Astrophysics since astronomy fascinates me and I like learning about outer space.

I would have loved to major in bioethics (instead of minor). I also would have liked ancient civilizations or Egyptology. I’d really like a degree in Alternative History/Archaeology (or one where you could study doomsday prophecies) but it’s career suicide to even mention one of these things let alone teach a class/program about it.
