which would you pick....a camera or an ipod? Why? :) Thanks!

CAMERA!

A couple of reasons:

I'm not a huge music listener, I've never had an iPod or other type of mp3 and although sometimes I wish I did most of the time there's plenty of other stuff to occupy me. I could always go on my computer anyway.

I'm a senior. MEMORIES TO BE CAPTURED FOREVER GALORE. ;]

I always did use my camera a lot before its untimely demise...='[.

Edit: Okay three reasons. xD

I'd get an iPod. If I had enough money for an iPod, chances are I'd already have a phone, so I'd just use the cell camera.

I would pick a camera for multiple reasons here. The fact that most MP3's in the present cost relatively cheap for 128MB is quite reasoning, not to mention the similar overall quality sound-wise. A good quality camera will be utilized for pictures that capture the past, much more of worth than a music player. Personally, I would simply save my money, and consume it for greater purposes in life.

a camera....new ipods are always coming out which can be kind of depressing if you buy one and two months later a newer, nicer one is in stores....while on the other hand,a camera doesnt get old as fast.

^ It depends on what use you will utilize your camera for, MP's vary to depending on family photography, scenary, or vast sights.

iPod. I will use my own memory to remember things most of the time, but my music collection is growing ever faster and needs a comfy home!

I am assuming you retain Picture memory?

iPhone(both) LOL I WIN!!

but you'll be screwed when the iPhoneMini comes out in 6 months.

Camera > iPod. I took around 4000 pictures with my 2 MP camera before I lost it (stupid me). I don't need an iPod to tell me what format I need to listen to music.

Personally, I would get a digital camera because the sound quality on the iPod, even if you rip your CD's in lossless is never as good as the original CD. As a devout headphone-head, I can tell you the iPod does not have enough power to drive anything better than IEMs. An iPod does not have the capacity to handle my collection (325 CDs plus 28 other gigs, 140 LPs, 125 CDs on "to buy" list). I also hate it when companies force you into a single hardware-software relationship. iTunes+iPod = :-(

For the money, you can get a very nice camera. I'd recommend a Sony DSC-W80 (for carrying around whenever) or a Canon Powershot S3 IS (for learning photography). Either of these will last longer and provide more enjoyment to your friends than an iPod. A good camera will last longer than an iPod and still take good pictures a few years down the road, even when the iPod has been reduced to the size of a Tic-Tac box.

well I could not function normally without my IPOD, that I affectionately call Johnny the Rockstar....after the lead singer of my favorite band...sort of. you can take a guess. BUT, I also love my camera. So idk. However, whenever I want pictures, other ppl usually also have cameras and put them on facebook anyway, so I'd get them even if I didn't have a camera. Johnny the Rockstar though, I'd be lost without.

ipod because i cannot live without my musicccc.
haha i seriously cannot sleep w/out my zzz's playlist =P
and i can always use my parent's camera if necessary or get pics from my friends

Is an iphonemini really coming out in six monthes?
