if you could use 5 words to describe yourself as a person...

let's say,if your teacher asked you to use 5 words to describe yourself as a person...and he/she was going to focus on the meaning of those 5 words on your recommendation letter....what words would you use?

juicy, table, apple, Rudolph, asbestos

I am applying to Dartmouth! :)

I thought that the whole point of the exercise (whether it’s actually a teacher that asked you this question, or just one of those pesky supplements), is that it’s supposed to reflect qualities about YOU, so what we’d say about ourselves is immaterial. Thus, the very helpful input you’re getting ;).

Hey! That was one of my homework questions the other day! xD (I actually went around and asked people).

Bizarre, determined, dependable, tactful, assertive.

Hah! My daughter had this on some high school application. She was late doing it (of course), literally running through the hall to turn it in, and asking people she knew for the words they would use for her. She got a couple of decent responses (eclectic and ambitious, I think), but needed one more. Saw an English teacher that everyone ADORES, but she’d never had him as a teacher so he didn’t know her. Keep in mind this is an AWESOME and brilliant teacher (Harvard educated, etc.). She said “What’s one ADJECTIVE you would use to describe me?”

Scrambling, he says “Quickly! Oh. Er. Um. I mean quick”.

Yeah, funnier if you were there I guess.

D had to answer that same question - we wrote words that fit her on sticky notes and stuck them all over the dining room wall and then we began grouping them, then within groups began eliminating words until there was only one in each and then we cut those remaining words down to 5.

How about:

Honest, Sincere, This, Is, Silly? or you can change “Silly” for “Stupid,” if you substitute “Sincere” for “Frank.”

Always use “PASSIONATE”.
