If you fail the IB....

Ok so let's say that I've been accepted to several prestigious US colleges by May and I end up getting an F on your EE or TOK and do not obtain the IB diploma.

Would I be kicked out of the colleges I was accepted to?

What will happen?

From what I’ve heard, most of the time no. I’ve heard that happens a lot with European Universities, but not really with American. In America, they tend to not admit you based on your expected IB Scores or Diploma; unless they’ve specifically said that you must get your diploma or get a certain score, then you should be fine.

I think it would be difficult to fail your EE anyway, because the three bonus points are a combination of both your performance in TOK as well as the Extended Essay.

They don’t really care about it in the US as stated above. The only reason they’d need to see your scores is if you were using them to try to get credit which normally occurs with a 6 or 7 in an HL.

the only way to fail your EE is to not do it.

If you at least handed in something that’s not plagiarized, worst case is you’ll get a 0 from the EE.

but you won’t fail it
