If you get a NP for a course, should you retake it?

Hey, so I'm ambivalent on whether or not I should retake Econ 1. I took it fall quarter for P/NP and got a NP. It is not related to my major whatsoever; I took it to learn about finance and such which, I realized, microeconomics doesn't even really touch on. I am basically pretty inept at math and thought I would do okay, but I didn't. But I'm really worried that it would look bad on my transcript if I didn't retake it (to possible schools I want to transfer to or grad schools). However, I'm also scared that if I retake it I'll just do horrible again. Suggestions? :/

if you have time to retake it, you might as well.
the second time around hopefully it will be a bit easier since you already sort of know the concepts and what kind of math skills are required.

and you should just ask a TA or your professor to help you with the stuff you absolutely don’t understand.

You don’t have to retake the class if you got a NP. Only if you want to, and only if you think you’ll benefit from it (the class, not the grade).

I got an NP in one of my GE classes (LIGN 7), but was able to take ANTH 23 the next quarter to fulfill the GE requirement. Grad schools never noticed (or if they did, they never said anything).
