<p>Medical-Related Stuff: Cleveland Clinic Science Internship for 2 years in which I presented an Atrial Fibrillation paper/poster to the Cardiology Staff at main campus.</p>

<p>My D. got accepted to NEOUCOM, Miami University DAP, University of Toledo BS/MD, rejected from CASE PPSP, MSU Medical Scholars, UC DAP. She was top of her class, ACT=33 (took once), APs: Bio-5, Am Hist. - 5, Calculus - 5, Eng. Lit. - 4. Hospital volunteering one summer (only 35 hours), working (paid) as lab. assist. in medical lab for 2 summers (over 300 hours). Will go to Miami University (Ohio) with almost 100% tuition scholarships (we have $442/year left to pay for her tuition including summers and study abroad).</p>
<p>Copy&Paste, I would suggest to get more hours, you still have time. It shows your interest/passion for medicine. They are looking for kids who know for sure that they want to go to medicine. My D. really enjoyed her work in a lab.</p>
<p>I have a question about SAT 2's. I did horrible the first time because I didnt know the alloted time so i got a 670 in Chem and a 710 in Math 2. If I re-take both and do really well do you know if these programs will care, or will that be held against me? All my other stats are good</p>
<p>Got into UCSD's Med Scholars with a 2250 on SAT I: Math 790, Writing 710, Reading 750. SAT II's were: Biology: 800 and Math: 800.</p>
<p>GPA: Weighted: 4.33, unweighted: 4.0</p>
<p>AP exams: All 5's on Biology, Chemistry, Calculus ABC, Physics, US History. 4 in Gov.</p>
<p>Lots of extracurriculars: Academic Team Captain, Tennis Team, over 400 hours in stem cell research, witness several medical operations, Chess Club, Math club, Band, volunteer experience, etc.</p>

<p>And yes, those are unweighted. School doesn't rank but percentile is a concern since I blew off 9th and 10th :S</p>
<p>Your ECs are pretty good. However, BS/MD programs generally like to see more medically oriented ECs.</p>
<p>At this point, I would advice you to apply and try anyway. What have you got to loose? If you get in, great! If not, you can always go to med schools the traditional way. There's no harm trying. Do apply to some 'safety schools' for BA/or BS programs in addition though.</p>
