If you got into any ivy with below a 3.8uw GPA please post stats

Hi, since ivy league decisions have come out, i was wondering if people who had below a 3.8 unweighted gpa could post their complete stats here plz. so others can get some perspective. thank you.

um, i don't feel like really posting all of my stats, but here is a brief overview: ACT-35, GPA- 3.67 uw, 4.31 w. um, i'm african american, national merit, ap scholar, i am in the top 10% and i guess i had awesome letters of recommendation.

ok how about no urms

well, i don't know how much race really had to do with it, considering that my family is most definitely upper class.

normally i'd think colleges would see the high ACT and low GPA and think of you as a lazy student...

don't colleges give URMs advantages anyways regardless of income to increase diversity?

jw, which ivy?

I got into Cornell with a likely and MIT (I hear from Pton tommorow)

89UW, 101 W (3.4ish?)
13/458
2150 SAT I and SAT II's (one sitting for both)

My courseload deems a my average as reasonable though. We have a state ready writing champ barely pull an A- in my English HL class, I scored a 5 on the AIME and I have trouble getting a B in my math HL class, and my history HL teacher doesn't believe in grades > 95. Simply put, we can't do 10 hours of h/w in 8 so we suffer grade wise.

azn, i got into Columbia and Harvard. But yeah, I will admit that I could've done better in high school...

reality is guys, race has everything to do with it, a very good friend of mine got into 3 ivies, and several other very strong schools, don't get me wrong, he is a bright kid, and very interesting however he is lazy which is self admitted and his grades and scores do not reflect his abilitiy, nonetheless he got in to nearly every school he applied to and i am talking top tier.

This is a useless question. Kids from top high schools get into ivies with the equiv of a 3.8 all the time. And a 3.8 at one school is a 4.6 at another and a 3.0 at still another.

I think the OP is just asking for piece of mind more than anything - knowing its been done before rbably puts him a little more at ease.
