Hey Guys,
This is a thread for those prospective Harvard students who continuously hear that if you do not have a 4.0... you can't get into Harvard. Is it true? If you have been excepted to Harvard without a 4.0 please leave a comment on why you think you got in and what GPA you had. Thanks!

you're such a nub.

Wow, I'm not even going to answer this one.

You just did.

^ no, he never answered the OP's question, just posted in the thread. :-P

I'll answer it. Clearly, this is misleading, since not all schools are on a 4.0 scale. Secondly, you don't need a 4.0 to get into Harvard. For example, my high school graded out of a 100 and the maximum GPA our valedictorian had was a 96.9. At another school, everyone in the top 10% could have GPAs of above 100. As can be seen, it really depends on the school.

There is A LOT more to admission than GPA; you don't necessarily need a 4.0 if you have some sort of other hook. And you wrote the wrong form of "accepted." If you do that in your essay, I can absolutely 100% guarantee that you WILL NOT get into Harvard. :)

I got a B+ in AP Chemistry and I got into Harvard... so... there! hahaha
