My gosh, buster and stephnieme both should have been accepted, tufts alert seems a bit prominent with UCD; they’re going to get a lot of appeals.

I took 5 APs and one honors course in high school. I came from a smaller school that had less AP options so taking only 5 wasn’t an issue for me but they like to see that you take advantage of the most your school has to offer. I’m also a science major so I did mostly science APs with some English and history in there for well-roundedness.

Its honestly best to start with one or more clubs your freshman or sophomore year and continue with them through your senior year. It shows commitment and you may get a leadership position at some point which is always awesome.

I think these are less outstanding than a lot of other people, but I think the personal statement has a lot of influence on wether you get accepted or not so try your best on it.
