If you got into Wake this year or last year, could you list you GPA, SAT, and ECs?

Im trying to get an idea of people's stats who were admitted into wake. did you interview? turn in SATs? have good recs? legacy?

thanks

if you post, congrats on getting in.

bump

This year:

Applied and got in ED

Out of State
3.74 gpa with a lot of APs/honors at a top school
29 ACT sent
interview (went extremely well) and 2 visits
no legacy
very good ECs and recs

good luck!

I had a good interview.

HS GPA: 3.6 for all intents and purposes. My HS didn’t rank because it was super competitive so we got percentiles of some sort.
SATs: 2230. Sent them. I also took 3 SAT IIs and I remember that 2 were over 700 and 1 was in the 600s (that was Spanish) but I don’t really remember them well.
I legitimately had a laundry list of ECs.
I had no AP scores at the time (although I took all honors & AP classes) but I ended up with two 4s and two 5s (and two 2s but we won’t talk about those… both had extenuating circumstances).

Not a legacy … have no idea what my recs were like. I also have no idea if my essays were good or not – I think they were good though because I remember liking the short answers.

Statistically, I believe my son represents the midpoint of WFU admitted students:

3.6 uwGPA/ 4.0 wGPA
1330 SAT (sent them)
29 ACT (sent it)
7 APs
24 Honors
Varsity track, XC captain
NHS
Percussion leader
Elementary mentor
2nd dgree black belt

Interviewed on campus

Wild card: Son applied RD. He received a 4-year Army ROTC scholarship and chose Wake as the school where he’d like to use it. As a result, his application was “flagged” in admissions. In mid-Feb they asked him to “improve his chances” by switching to ED. He did and was admitted 3 days later. I really think that ED switch was a formality so they could expedite his case for ROTC purposes.

Daughter’s was accepted ED:

2030 SAT
30 ACT
3.9 GPA / Top 5% class rank
7 AP’s - mostly 4’s
Strong EC
On Line Interview
No Legacy
Very strong recs including one from a WF alum

Thanks for all of your responses. I am looking to apply to Wake ED and was wondering where I stood compared to others who had recently been accepted

Oops, for the record, I wasn’t an ED applicant.

Accepted regular decision

3.93 uw / 4.52 w
34 ACT
2030 SAT
700+ on two SAT II’s

Tons of ECs with leadership positions in almost all of them

Out of state

660 CR, 800 Math, 670 writing
32 ACT
3.9 GPA
Track and Field, Cross Country, Piano, Eagle Scout.
And my brother is a student may have helped as well.
