If you GPA is below 3.0 does that means you are out of luck(SOL) for all UCs?

I have a GPA about 2.93, I know it is not good and 3.0 is the cut off but does that means I don’t have chance at all?
I am looking at UC Merced, do I have any chance for that?

I am just throw the applicaton out there and see what will happen, if I get acepted great if not I am just go to a JC then.

The 3.0 GPA is a definite minimum. Is your GPA, your calculated UC GPA?

You can apply, but your application will not be considered if you do not meet the requirements and a waste of $70.

Why a UC or nothing? If in-state, there are several Cal states where you can get a comparable education along some privates.

With a below 3.0 GPA, CSU Fullerton and Cal Poly SLO or Pomona? are not good options. What is your SAT/ACT? Did you calculate your Eligibility index? What is in your in-service area CSU?
