If you guys can be so kind to

im freaking out. i keep getting waitlisted :frowning: its soo nervewracking :frowning:
out of those who were accepted to bc is there any that will choose to attend another college? please say so… if you dont mind…

hahah yea id probably go to another school, dont worry.

radyland..you said "id" does that mean you didnt get accepted yet? huh?
and thanks for the thought :)

Boston College is great - but I am definitely going someplace closer to home. I declined the offer tonight - so that's definitely one spot on the waitlist! Good luck to all of you!

You can have my spot!

...pending how 3/31 goes

lets hope for the best for all of us!
hopefully the wait wont disappoint us!
and thanks starbound4444!

Unfortunately, thesparetire, thats not how the waitlist works. Its not that for each one who declines, one comes off the waitlist. BC accepts many more students than will actually attend; the "yield" is the percentage of accepted students that choose to attend...The Admissions Office goes by previous years and guesses approximately how many they have to admit to fill the available spaces.

Although this year it seems that every school is going to have to go to the waitlist (record numbers of applicants, students applying to multiple schools, etc). There's got to be a better way!

i wish i could give you my spot!

mcgill for me.

no, i got in. i just don't know if im going, chances are i wont if i get into my top choice.

:D

I wish I had a real spot to give you. I'm sorry.

However, I'm not going to take the spot on the waitlist- maybe that'll make it less competitive for you to get in? I really wish you luck, and I hope they take you.

thanks guys for the support!
yet another waitlisted college today :(
