If you had the choice.........would you.....

I have a few things I am applying for this summer and I want to know CC's take on what would be more impressive to admission officers:

1.) Already selected Attending a 9 day leadership/mock govt program Known as "Boys State" -or in my case Buckeye Boys State in which 1300 boys are selected from the state based on academics and leadership displayed

2.) (If selected) 8 week paid internship at NASA research center in cleveland. Working in mathematics or physics
~I likely will be a physics or astronomy major with a minor in mathematics~
I would have to drive an hour 5 days a week, for 8 weeks**********

3.) (If Selected) Study at a university for 8 weeks for thousands of dollars (applying to Boston U, Stanford)

4.) (If Selected) Do the Ross Mathematics Program at Ohio State

Always appreciate the advice of the good people of CC :)

Oh, I think the NASA internship is the best. This is also impressive to future employers and could open the door for more internship opportunities in the future. All those other things are “prepping for real life”. The internship is “real work life”.

Ross, hands down! Wish I could apply, but even if I were lucky enough to get accepted, can’t be away for 8 weeks!
