5 hrs worth of our culture, what would you show?

GO...

5 hrs worth of our culture, what would you show?

GO...

5 hours of Jerry Springer.

^LOL.

Or Maury? [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SoHh9tKGTf0]YouTube - 15 year old girl has had sex over 300 times/url

lol Maury “you are NOT the father!!!”

I’d take them to Rome for 5 hours and show them from Roman ruins to the Vatican to whatever modern stuff they have as a synopsis of Western Civilization from 1 BC to today

I don’t find that 15 year old girl story that creepy. She’s just dumb.

Rome was so badass. Greatest civilization ever.

What incentive do I have to show them our culture? I’ll ask them about theirs, and if I can’t communicate with them I’ll just leave them somewhere for 5 hours.

^You already found out all you wanted. You took the question so literally haha. IF YOU HAD TO SHOW THEM, just what would you.

^^Yeah, she isn’t creepy…but just the things that’s the worst to me is the crowd yelling at her and her yelling back and maury just pretending to care. Obviously, she’s stupid.

The Voyager Golden Record, General Relativity, Quantum Electrodynamics and The Parthenon.

I’d take them to Taco Bell, Burger King, McDonalds, KFC, Little Ceasers, and Long John Silvers, which would take about a half hour (they’re all right next to each other pretty close to where I live).

Then I’d take them somewhere else to another Taco Bell, a Pizza Hut, and Arbys, and a Wendys. 40 minutes. (It’s far away)

Then I’d take them to White Castle and Chick-Fil-A. 30 minutes.

Then I’d take them to a few other fast food restaurants, maybe another half hour.

Then I’d take them to Meijer, Target, and WalMart and let them wander around each of those stores for an hour.

I would probably take them to DC to show them maybe the capitol and then the Smithsonians. Probably the easiest way to show them the most about our history.

I might take them to my school and see if they were inclined to destroy it.

Show them a computer and let them run free on the internet

Show them the 5 hours of “History of Sex” from the History Channel. Shows sex, culture, religion, government, etc through the ages and across cultures. Seriously one of the best history lectures I’ve ever seen (not just because of the sex, but because it showed the intricacies of daily life rather than X, Y, and Z ruled countries A, B and C from 500- 1200 CE).

^What did this show do? Just show the chronological evolution of sex? I’m not sure I quite understand EXACTLY what they showed and explained and analyzed…

^ It was explaining the views of sex throughout the ages due to religious, government, social, etc regulations, expectations, and social norms. I don’t really know how else to explain it. It’s just literally sex through the ages.

^Sounds potentially interesting.

^ It is. But then again, I’m a cultural history dork.

^I like culture and history and cultural history too! A lot. LOVE it. :)

baha this is a hard question.
I guess a little bit of the history channel, and the rest would be leading them around the city explaining everything. That’s what I would do at least.

^What is “the city?”
