<p>I’d give them a quick tour of the British Museum, since it covers the ancient history of, like, every major Old World civilization, and some of the New World. That would be pretty comprehensive.
Then, since we don’t have that much time, I could probably only show them London to get an idea of a modern metropolis. Then we might watch some TV/get on the internet to see the rest of the world.</p>
<p>@Romani: History of Sex is my favorite History channel documentary. It comes on every New Years. My second favorite is Hooked, that one about the history of various illicit drugs.</p>

<p>But there are so many different cultures though. 5 hours would not be even close to enough to covering everything.</p>
