If you hate Ur ROOMATE, POST HERE!

This post is for people who hate or dislike their roomates and hope that a miracle happens and he or she moves out! Let me describe my roomie, he is wierd looking, and a complete nerd! he spents half of his life on his computer on AIM with those annoying IMs noises pplaying! ahhhh!! he has no social life, never goes out, doesnt party, straight A engineering student here. He farts in the room and pretends like nothing happens...he never takes out the trash, no one likes him from our floor and ppl feel sorry for me for having him as a roomate, no good fashion sense, types so freaking LOUD. and the thing that really is just tooo much is that he "pleasures himself" when im sleeping in the room. the other day i woke up in the middle of the nite to hear moans and him in the act...ewwww! i was soo traumatized, i feel like imma be scarred for life. i even heard the zipper zip up. i dunno wat to do, we having NOTHIGN in common. i feel like im really losing from my college experience with this guy....should i do a room transfer for the next semester...but i dont want to seem like an jerk either...what to do what to do?

I HATE!!! My roommate. I basicaly have the same problems as you except my roommate is lazy and hasnt gone to class in like 2 months. He spent a couple of weeks in Jail in november. And he stays up till like 4 am listening to his "punk" music and playing computer games because he doesnt go to class and wakes up around 4pm, while i try to sleep. I swear if I never threw out the trash, he would still have stuff from before I moved in. Actually he does have some stuff like soda bottles and bags of chips that were here before I moved in. The funny thing is that I think I kinda scared him because once I just couldnt take the loud music and I just started cursing at him telling him to turn it down becuase you could hear it on the floor under us, and now when ever I come back from class and he has his music on he always turns it down. The worse part was when I came back from class one day and found him sitting on my computer looking at porn, I asked what the hell he was doing and he said his internet was down, I have had a password ever since then. I was told that I could change after winter break so hopefully monday is the last day I ever live with him. I guess this is the price I pay for going to a school thats easy to get into just because its cheap.

I have a roommate who does his IHUM paper in 2 hours and gets an A while I slave on it for 2 straight days and get a B! He never goes to any of the physics lectures, just chills out with girls all day and still manages to ace the final exam. He never works, never studies, and just naturally does well cause he was friggin "born" with it or something.

I AM JEALOUS OUT OF MY MIND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He makes me feel dumb. I have to work hard while he chills and does better than me. This is the price I pay for getting into a school that I was never good enough to get into in the first place, and my admission was a mistake.

Emo, you should definitely do a room transfer for the next semester. You should not at all worry about being a jerk. Your roomate's already been such a big jackass to you that the least you can do is switch into a different room. By transferring to a different room, you can hopefully send your roomate the message that he's repulsive without explicitly saying it out loud.

I can't stand my roomates either, so I'm switching to a different dorm next semester. But my roomates aren't nearly as bad as Emo's. One of my roomates clearly sells drugs that he keeps locked up in his closet. Plus, I've had to leave the room about 4 times so that he could have sex. Each time I've had to leave, it was a different girl. Plus, he constantly boasts about his disgusting feat of having sex with so many different girls. The other roomate is twitchy and neurotic and has no sense of when not to make conversation. For example, I was studying for a test at around 2 or 3 in the morning. He on the other hand was folding his clothes and was bored, so he told me to explain to him what I was learning in the class I was studying for. Who does that? If I'm studying at 2 in the morning, I clearly don't have the time to explain the material I'm learning to anyone.

Emo... the farting is bad enough. Moans... GET THE HELL OUT!

I am a freshman at Utica College. My roomate is the fattest, laziest bitch ever. First of all, she has asthma so she feels that she has to keep the window open all the time, even when she is not in the room. I go to school in upstate New york, therefore the weather gets below zero all the time. I confront her nicely about it and ahe catches a bad ass attitude. She slams the door behind her when she leaves the room. I was about to slap the bitch but then I decided to keep my cooL. Lately she has been doin some triflin ****. JUst the other day, she hid the remote so i couldnt watch tv, I found her nasty hair on my side of the room. And she has been givin me these nasty looks everytime she walks in the room. Mind you I have done absolutely nothing to this girl. All I did was step to her like a woman and told her what was on my mind. On top of all that, she is fat and lazy. She does her laundry one every three weeks, so her laundry stinks up the room. She never takes out the trash nor aids in cleaning the room. All I have to say is that she is a fat nasty bitch that needs to go back to the hood where she came from.

double yikes!

i really hope my roomate is not like any of the above!

rooster--where do you go?

This guy might be a closet studier. I know a lot of people that pretend to never do work, then study like crazy when they're alone.

And if he's really just that smart, so what? He's the exception, not you. Most people at good schools bust their arses to get good grades. Don't sweat it.

I go to Stanford.

Nah, my roommate isn't a closest studier. He was one of those people who went to RSI and won math and science olympiads.

god darn, I hope I don't get a roommate that even remotely resembles what you guys have been describing. That is just unbearably terrible. What the hell, how do you people live with yourselves when your roommates are complete slobs, don't shower every day and do laundry once every 3 weeks, never clean up....what the heck. I'd have to say that emo has it the worst.

Rooster...you remind me of all the stories my dad tells me...his room mate never studied...always going out partying and such, meanwhile my dad had to study from 5pm till 2am every night just to maintain a B average in his med classes!

Just wondering, what schools do you guys go to?

I go to UIUC

But I'm seriously considering transferring.

I go to Utica College

I go to U of Florida

It's interesting, most problems seem to be in state schools, or schools that aren't as academically stressful (I may be wrong). But these problems can really affect any school, luck of the draw, I suppose.

Edit:

It's a shame that people think college is a time to screw around and do nothing. What people need to remember is that they are paying for it. If they do not pass the first time around, they have to repeat it, which costs more money. If they feel the need to screw around, they shouldn't go to college...sit at their parents' house...it'll be a hell of a lot cheaper and you won't **** off your room mates! People need to remember why they are in college. They are there for one thing: to get a degree so they can move on to the next stage in life, not to F off.

harri: I go to UIUC

OMG is this common??? I am planning on attending UIUC next yr so I wanna know...

Mastercheifll, I don't know if it's common to get weird roomates here. I applied really late for housing so I was placed into a triple dorm room with 2 random roomates. I can't really predict whether you'll get bad roomates if you choose to have a randomly assigned roomate. The dorm that you choose to live in can be a factor in terms of the type of people you'll be around though. I can give you better idea if you know where you plan to stay when you come to UIUC.

Hey harri I PMed you with some questions.
