if you have a solid EC list and attached a resume, would you list NHS?

national honors society? doesn't mean that much. would it look like fillers for top top colleges, especially if you've already got 6~7 intense and long-time ECs?

bump .

No. That's a waste of ink. Everybody has that worthless EC. It might look like you are just trying to lengthen your list.

If you got 6 to 7 committed ECs, you don't need something like NHS.

i think gryffon is being sarcastic.

add it.. its legit

yea.. add it :/

Why not add it? It's nothing to be ashamed about. Believe it or not, some NHS members and chapters do a lot of projects. My S was a member, but not an officer, but still created and organized a schoolwide service project, the first in his school in recent memory.

Some NHS members also are national officers. Some second tier colleges even give scholarships automatically to NHS members.

It's not as if adcoms are going to snicker when they see NHS. Certainly, it's not as if adcoms at top colleges will bow down when they see NHS listed, but it's not a joke to them, either.

agreed w/ Northstarmom,
at my school, NHS is actually the main service project/charity club
