if you have any questions for us...

Well I'm pretty sure you can petition it...
Does it conflict with any of your classes? I've heard about people changing their IHUM before so it is doable...

It shouldn't be too bad to change your IHUM class. Changing sections is incredibly easy, and I don't think changing classes is much harder. If you have a conflict (or say you do at least) they are usually pretty good about switching things around for you. You might not get your #1 choice, but there's a decent chance you will.

My only question is how much harder is the academic work than high school? My school has some grade inflation, yet I still managed to pass all my AP exams, and I was wondering if the courses are just ultra hard. I have a 4.0 UW GPA now, and I would be happy with a 3.0 GPA in college.

One of my teachers told me that a 4 on an AP exam is like a C at a Stanford class. I don't if that has any correlation, but yeah... Any info would help. Thanks a lot.

It ain't bad. I've only gotten better since frosh year, personally, so I'd say it's definitely possible to learn to learn faster, if that makes any sense. The key is just not getting discouraged, and using all the tutoring resources you need.

expect to work harder. The important thing is not to worry so much about comparing yourself to others but work to attain ur personal best. The tutoring really helps...I found that out really late in the quarter this year. A 4 on an exam does not mean a C at stanford...lol

Yeah, well that teacher that told me that a 4 on AP= C at Stanford is a compulsive liar. Or at least I think he is, because he says so much stuff that just doesn't add up. He says he got accepted to MIT, but instead went to Cal State San Bernadino. LOL, its even funnier cause that is one of the worst Cal State schools. I don't know what is real with him, so I usually background check what he says. Thanks.

haha yea i had the same fears as u...especially coming from a public school which i feel did not prepare me for stanford...but i did fine..in fact better than i thought..echoing what was said above..do not compare your self to others!!!my roomate can start on a paper 4am and get a B+ and i work on a paper for days and get a B- so yea just worry about urselfs..tuturoing and formin study groups is also helpful...the hardest thing for me is managing time and not gettin distracted( i live in a crazy dorm where ppl dont go to bed or quiet down till at least 2 am) and i feel that every freshman gets told this..and they never listen but its tru..TAKE IT EASY FIRST QURTER!!!!!!TAKE 12-15 units enjoy ur self..i heard that advice and was like watever..i took 18units and i did fine but i feel i would have enjoyed myself more with a lighter coursework...trust me u have four years enjoy the first quarter!

Hey guys and gals, I was wondering what banks are located on campus?

Since I am getting a debit card pretty soon, I plan to stay with the same bank, so if there is a local Washington Mutual or Wells Fargo that would help. I want to know now so that I will not have to pay a $1.50 fee everytime I take out money in the future. Thanks.

Wells Fargo. def wells fargo. they have a branch as well as 3 atm machines in the heart of campus (tressider second floor).

Thank you sir, Wells Fargo it is.
