If you haven't noticed about Penn Portal

It seems to be working in retrospect.

Today I checked my teachers recs, and suddenly it says they received it on the 14th, and only one of them has been received (even though both were uploaded on the same day on the Common App).

Same thing with the SAT Scores.

Point being here - stop freaking out.
It looks like they manually timestamp the documents when they actually look at your application parts, but uploading it all and sorting it out onto your account takes more time.

Anyway, we should be receiving our blue/green cards in the mail around next week or after Thanksgiving, so by then our applications should be finalized and ready to review.

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

whats the blue/green card for?

It’s a final card that gets sent to you.
If it’s green, everything is fine and dandy. Pretty much, your application has been processed and nothing more is needed.
If you get the blue one, it will tell you what items are outstanding and need to be sent in immediately.

on mine…i think that everything that i handed in are in but…ACT and some other stuff are still on the outstanding list…but i didn’t take ACT…would i have to do anything about that? would they know that it is complete even though i don’t have ACT?

i didnt take the act or toefl (?) - would i get a blue card?

“Point being here - stop freaking out.” I believe this applies to you, dot510.

jcll2002 is correct.

Stop freaking out.

TOEFL is only if you need it, or didn’t you notice the “if applicable” part to the descirption?
Same with SAT/ACT, whichever one you chose.

As long as you submitted an SAT reasoning with 2 subject tests, or an ACT with writing, and also submitted everything else that you were required to, you should get a green card.

My teacher recs and transcripts were just updated but not my guidance rec or secondary school report.

if we send in our nov sat score when we registered for the test, would they have gotten it now without me rushing the score? I saw on my Pennportal that they received 3 sat ii’s, which includes the sat ii from nov. does that mean I don’t have to rush or fax them my score?

Also, i know they would notify us if there’s anything missing that’s required. but what about the supplemental recommendation letters? I don’t think they even know I sent those out if mine’s are missing. How would I know that they have received the supplemental recs?

^^Soysauce56: Your SAT IIs are there…if it says they received them, why on earth would you rush or fax them your score? Also, I don’t think Penn keeps track of your supplemental recs/info (aside from uploading them in the “Additional Information” tab on the Penn Portal)…because they are not a requirement, Penn does not really care that much about them, so I don’t think they will inform you with a blue card wheter or not they received them…just check that there is something in your “Additional Information” tab on the Portal.

Yea I used the same argument to stop my parent from worrying bout not having all the forms received. I realized it through the same way as Zester. So you guys can stop worrying about if they were received and instead worry about Dec. 15.
