^ thats an impressive post…very helpful

“If you like UT, you’ll like TAMU.” Sacrilegious! ;)

Originalthought, there’s a lot there, but some of it isn’t very accurate. Swarthmore, Vassar and Bowdoin are not a lot alike. And the OP wanted a step down in selectivity so if you’re looking at one school that’s highly selective, you can find schools that have similar attributes but are less selective.

I’ll admit that Vassar is a bit of a stretch but I thought that Bowdoin and Swarthmore were pretty similar.

Also, I encourage people to make changes and repost if that would be helpful to the thread.

If you like [Cornell], you might like [SUNY Binghamton]!

I really like originalthought’s post…

But my state-school and most obvious choice is Wisconsin. What are some comparable schools that aren’t in the Big 10? (All of those schools have already been considered in my mind.)

“If you like Brandeis, you’ll like: BC, Babson, and Haverford.”

This one needs a little work…

Hey Originalthought, I don’t think there is very much, if any, cross registration between CMC and Sewanee. I would have added Dartmouth to the list of schools you would like if you love CMC.

Whats the less selective version of CMC, i can’t think of any.
