If...you might be a democrat

outlawing things doesnt make them go away, it just makes them more dangerous…

^ Sure… but it’ll definitely make them far less likely to do it. People will NOT get abortions “anyway”. Some definitely would, but the rule of law has always prevented (for better or worse) most from running the risk.

I’m not saying that abortions should be made illegal. In my personal opinion, I would have no problems should they actually do so, but I also highly respect certain arguments made by the pro-abortionists. I understand that there are cases in which abortion would make sense from a medical or even moral standpoint, but it is the plain truth that the majority of abortions are done following unplanned pregnancy, in many cases where the parents would have a reasonably good chance of giving the child a decent shot at life. The truth is that the majority of abortions are performed because the child would be an simple “inconvenience” to the parent. In the end, it’s a question of what is the greater evil, and I do believe that abortion should only be a step of final recourse with no viable alternatives.

A slim majority of the United States population identifies itself as pro-choice, and I personally find this regrettable. I have already thought heavily on this issue for many years, and have looked at many arguments from both sides. The irony is that we are a nation that will devote the considerable coverage to air information of a missing four year old girl on major news networks, but can stomach the abortion issue with indifferent aplomb. I still believe that very little justifies the wanton murder of unique human life, and that’s pretty much my final word on the issue.

I know I may seem antagonistic, but don’t take it personally. This is one of the very few issues I feel very strongly on.

-you are intolerant of intolerance

I’m intolerant for your intolerance of intolerance. :)

Unless of course your choices include
A)seat belts
B)taxes
C)guns
D)various other archaic safety standards

I’m a democrat for other reasons.

I hate the spreading of wealth shenanigans.
I hate welfare, 95% of those people are just lazy.

There are about 10 key issues that interest me. Democrats seem to have 7/10 and Republicans have the other 3.

You might be a democrat if one of the following describes you:

gay, gay-loving, baby-killing, tree-hugging, hippie, open-minded, tolerant, country-hating, Keith Olbermann-praising, communist, NPR-listening, PBS-watching, marijuana-smoking, and so on.

^you forgot unemployed

I hate that entire “the fetus will end up in a life of abuse/mistreatment anyway.” Go do some research. A newborn child has a much greater chance of being adopted by two caring and responsible adults than an older kid. Some infertile couples are on waiting lists for years so…no. If you care so much about child abuse and neglect, go do something about the thousands of kids in crappy foster care systems and group homes, instead of creating pathetically invalid arguments.

Lol, All Things Considered, anyone?

You know who else had laws against guns? Hitler!

hey rachael, I already have.
I started an inner city nonprofit basketball league that is aimed at helping foster kids. What have you done lately?

Btw, the majority of those kids have been in the system since they were infants.
