If you scored less than 3 take CLEP

My son scored a 3 on APUSH several years ago. The college he has chosen will give him 3 credits for that score. If he had taken the CLEPs for US History I and US History II, he would have 6 credits. I'm sure it was the essay part of APUSH that resulted in the score of 3. He excelled at multiple choice and the CLEP would have been easy for him after all the preparation for APUSH. (CLEP doesn't try to make questions tricky - it's a straightforward exam.)

Over 2900 schools grant credit for CLEP exams. CLEP is a multiple choice exam (some have optional essay, but not many), that is given on demand. It's computer based and instantly scored.

So...a word to the wise. Look for the CLEP equivalent of AP if you scored 3 or less. More information about CLEP can be found here Degree Planners - FAQs

Don’t miss your opportunity for college credit. Take CLEP while the information is still fresh in your mind. CC has a CLEP forum with more information.
