I'm from the Midwest where there's WAY more focus on the ACT than SAT, so I expect to score higher on the ACT and possibly only send those scores. (I can't say what they are because I haven't taken the real tests yet.) The thing is, schools I want to apply to generally require two or three SAT IIs. My question is, if you send in SAT II scores to colleges, will they also be able to see your SAT I scores even if you don't send any in?

Yeah, I'm in the same position having taking the tests. Note some institutions such as Yale, Penn, and Duke want the ACT OR the SAT I and IIs, so for those you don't need to send any SAT stuff if your ACT is solid. I wouldn't worry too much about the others, they generally say they'll take the better score between the SAT and ACT.

My kid also had much better ACT than SAT I scores, but was required to send SAT II's along with ACT to a number of her colleges. Her GC said that the way to handle this was to write only the ACT score, NOT the SAT I score, on the application itself, and to also write in the SAT II scores. Of course, the colleges will receive the SAT I scores along with the SAT II scores, but the GC felt that the SAT I's would not be considered if they were not included on the formal application. Kid had great admissions results with this approach. (GC also said that if colleges indicate that ACT alone is OK, but that they "recommend" or would "like to consider" SAT II's, the student needs to send the SAT II's if they are in the college's acceptable range.)
