I am international and I live in Asia.
College. Admission officers come to our school every year. and I am definitely sure that Duke admission officer will come this year to our school. I am a female and I want to apply Duke ED Engineering.

When admission officers come to our school I want to impress him/her.
If you were admission officer what kind of question will make you think that the student who asked question is dying to enter Duke Engineering?

Is there anything you guys are curious about Pratt? please don't post things that can be easily found in Duke website.

I don't know if a real question could impress an admissions officer. Also, demonstrated interest is NOT taken in consideration when chosing applicants. So, it really doesn't matter, unless the admissions officer is conducting interviews.

well.. i know this senior who just got accepted in to a great school. ( I dont want to mention the name... I dont think I should.;) she didnt have hig gpa, sat nor ec but got into... this.. great school in ED. There is a rumor that she impressed the admission officer.. so I just thought asking impressive question wouldnt hurt my application.. so.

if i were an admission officer, i wouldn't be impressed by anything that wasn't geniune. and being an admission office, i would (like them) be able to tell what was genuine and what was being asked because the student wants to look good.

impress them by sharing an anecdote of WHY you're dying to go to pratt. it'll mean more to them than simply asking a question that they may not have an answer to. WHY is it that you want to go to pratt? any field in particular? what has inspired you to go down that path?
