This past weekend has been absolutely crushing for some of us. We have all worked so hard these past four years only for the school of our dreams to tell us that we aren't good enough. If you were rejected to the University of Florida and really had your heart set on attending, there is an alternative solution -- Santa Fe College. SFC is the feeder school in Gainesville for UF. UF is a great school, at least for upper division classes, but it can be terrible for undergrad prerequisites. The class sizes at UF are astronomical -- I'm talking HUNDREDS. These class sizes can make difficult classes even more difficult, turning them into weed out classes where the professor often doesn't even know you. However, SFC classes are much more smaller and intimate (around 25-30 students) and the faculty is absolutely phenomenal. Depending on their major, students typically graduate in two years with their AA degree. If you want to attend the University of Florida, there is still hope.

@Victoria101 you are right, there is still hope
I come from a long line of UF graduates, my mother graduated from UF, my uncle recieved his phd from UF, and my brother graduated and recieved his masters from UF. So naturally I was born and raised as a gator(even though my father is a FSU Seminole) lol…But it has always been my dream to continue my family legacy as a gator. But I found out on Friday that I had been rejected. I decided I will be attending Santa Fe college this fall to get my A.A. and then transfer to UF, along with my friend who like me always wanted to be a gator. We are going on a trip down to Gainesville next Wednesday to look for apartments, and look around the campus. I cant wait!!
But does anybody know good apartments in the area of UF?

Gainesville Place is really good! my boyfriend is going to live there (:

thanks!! Ill probably print out a list of all the apartments, when I go to look in Gainesville. I cant wait im ready to get started and work my butt off, to get into UF!! lol

My S is rooming at Gainesville Place this fall too…My D lived at the Estates for two years and loved it…really safe, but a bit expensive. Gainesville place is cheaper…esp. for a 4 bdrm., 4 bath room.
