If you were to choose...

Where would you go? New York University... or Syracuse?

Why?

NYU because neither is a great school (other than Stern) so I'd choose for location. But after reading what NYU does to people who need aid, only if money is no object.

NYU because it's in the city, and Syracuse is 6 hrs away. Although Syracuse has more of a campus than NYU; I think it depends on what you want from college.

NYU, if I could afford it. I prefer the location, but that depends on the person. Syracuse has more of the typical college life, though. NYU is currently better known.

Cuse for the sports.

Syracuse has a real campus, great school spirit/sports...def. Syracuse...

Syracuse has an actual 'college-y' feel; NYU is like living an apartment, going to class, and doing your own thing unrelated to NYU. but it depends what you want out of your college experience.

NYU, amazing philosophy program and solid english program. I don't really care about having the 'college experience'

Syracuse...living in New York is just a scary thought. I like to visit big cities, but I would never live in one.

'Cuse if you like the freezing cold. It is below freezing there 6 months out of the year..Otherwise I would choose NYU

Cuse...for sports ditto huskems post

what do you want to study in college?

Syracuse but in the end it does come down to the money each place offers. NYU is too expensive.

Well, I'm going to NYU for their dental school. I just wanted to find out what other people thought.

Depends on your major. 'Cuse is much better for communications, while NYU is a lot better at other things.

Cuse, because the things that made my undergrad experience great were sports, greek system, campus atmosphere, and a less competitive attitude.
