If your CC doesn't offer all of your prereqs...

Do the UCs fault you for it?

The sensible answer seems to be no, but I think the wave of admission decisions is making me extra paranoid.

No, but some people take classes at other community colleges.

Some do and some don't. For CAL's political science department, they understand that not all CCs offer every course. At UCLA, they require all pre-reqs.

Thanks for the info!

And...that's incredibly unfortunate, because I'm a poli sci major at a CC that only offers three of UCLA's four required poli sci courses. Does anyone know what people usually do in this sort of situation?

attend the closest cc that does then write about it on their personal statement! DEDICATION!!!

My CC didn't offer one of the required pre-reqs so I took it online through a different CC. I guess I didn't have to but I think it looks good for admissions.

I'm a poli sci major, my cc didnt offfer one of the pre reqs for poli sci but i still got into UCLA.

I'm also a Poli-Sci major and got accepted to UCLA despite missing a prerequisite and a recommended course not offered at my school, so it's possible to still get in without finishing the prerequisites.

I applied to Berkeley in a major that has 4 prerequisites but 2 are not even offered at community college and the other two are not offered at any CCs in my area.
