If you're applying EA to Chicago, can you apply ED elsewhere?

On the Chicago site it says if you apply EA then you are allowed to apply to other colleges. Does this include applying ED to other places? My son is thinking of applying ED to Amherst. It's binding if he gets in, and they say you can't apply ED to other places, but they don't mention anything about Early Action. So he was thinking of applying to both places. If he gets into Amherst, he'll go, but Chicago is also one of his top choices. Any ideas on this?

I'm planning on doing the same to both schools. It's ok.

You can apply EA to Chicago, ED to Amherst, and RD to other schools at the same time. You can also simultaeously apply EA to other EA schools like Boston College, Case Western etc. (Just make sure not to apply to SCEA schools like Harvard, as you may not apply to other EA or ED schools at the same time)

Thanks for letting me know that this can be done. What other EA schools are there besides Boston College and Case? Is there a thread on this site that talks about these? (sorry, I'm new here!)
