I'm a deferred EA application, and was wondering what sort of extra information is good to send? Are extra essays fine? What about additional recommendations? anything else good to send?

also, does anyone know what the percentage of deferred candidates accepted RD is?

to answer your second question, that information is not given. the letter suggests an equal % to that of regular applicants.

Do not send extra information unless it’s like an update about what awards you have won, class scheduling stuff, etc. I’m not sure aboutt the essays and additional recs, but generally, unless they reveal something completely new about you, don’t send those either.

Where exactly should we send our updates? I’m confused, since it seems like everyone/every website is saying a different thing. The FAQ on the Eli account says it is best to contact the admissions officers in writing. However, another page says to fax updates to the school and to not contact the admissions officers. But that page also says the fax number is just for missing materials only…Any thoughts? Thanks!
