If...

Dude I got a friggin D in Algebra II and I’ve gotten B’s in AP Stats. Your counselor is an idiot.

She is. She also told me I wouldn’t get into college with my GPA. I want to wave my acceptance letters in her face or something. *****.

I have a C avg in Alg II right now, and I’m going to Pre-Cal. A lot of kids are going to adv. functions and modeling which is like a dumbed down version of algebra III and you can’t go to AP Stat, which is what I wanna take senior year so Pre-calc it is.
Wave them in her face, she can’t do anything about it… Lol.

I hear pre-calc is a killer. At least at my school… all my friends ever did last year was ***** about how hard it was and how much they hated it. I wish you luck, haha.

^ It’s just Algebra 2 all over again. pretty much.

^ Yuck. I’m glad I didn’t qualify to take it, then.

except with added trig like co-tangents and added formulas. I’m going to study hard next year, it’s important.

Yes definitely. If you’re a sophomore now then I pity you for what you’re gonna have to deal with next year… junior year was no fun. :(

I know what’s ahead of me. 3 AP’s and 3 honors classes lol. If I can just do well in everything, I’ll be happy. Hopefully I get the right teachers. My AP World Teacher teaches APSUH too, and I have a C/B- in AP World :frowning: don’t want him again.

Ouch that is a rigorous schedule… well not really compared to the rest of the crazy people on here but still…

Well, for your sake, I hope you get a different APUSH teacher.

Haha thanks. I’m doing AP Art History (one of the hardest, but shortest hw-wise courses), AP US History (Hardest Course, Work wise, study wise), AP Biology (Memorization + 1 - 1.5 hours of hw) = 3.5-4 hours from AP classes. Honors Pre-calc = 30 minutes of hw a night and hard formulas for tests, Honors Bio Lab is co-enrolled with AP Bio, don’t know how that works… and then Honors English III depending upon the teacher 20 minutes - 1 hour a night. so I’m looking at 6-7 hours max.

^ No one has 7 hours of homework a night. You’ll have like 2 a night max. You’re overestimating a LOT.

I took AP Art History last year and I LOOOVED it. Such a fascinating class.

6-7 hours? I hope you give yourself a break senior year, haha.

I don’t think I’m over-estimating, I have over-achieving junior friends that estimate that number. LOL.

I think that it depends on your priorities and how much time you typically devote towards completing your assignments.

^^ I don’t know you, but you don’t seem like an overacheiver. If you’re anything like me, you might have 6-7 hours for about a week and then give up and start slacking and do 30 mins a night MAX by a month into the school year. Then do the majority during the first 3 minutes of class.

lol, what I’m doing now isn’t what I’m going to be doing next year…

^ I said the same thing.

ok, and I have the ability to change… I’ve already stopped playing video games for the most part, and just do work, post on CC and hang-out. I know what I have ahead of me, it’s not hard to fix mistakes previously made if you apply yourself.

^ I said the same thing… yet again

And I got a 2.9 junior year!!
