Hello guys! I’ve taken 6 IG subjects so far and now I’m going to take my AS. The problem here is that no American college has its requirements set for IGCSE, it’s all based on SAT which I don’t take. Does that mean I’ll have to take the SATs sooner or later to be accepted into Princton or Harvard?
I’ve taken Maths, English as a Second Language, ICT, Biology, Chemistry and Physics as my 5 subjects and thankfully I’ve scored 6 A* in those I plan on taking 2 AS which are Biology and Maths.
I would appreciate it if someone tells me if this is enough as the requirements or not?
If you want to get into Princeton, you’ll need to learn to do your own research. Here is some help:
https://admission.princeton.edu/applyingforadmission/standardized-testing
you will never get in with that. Thats less than half of what a nomrla student who gets accepted does. You are wasting your time
Did you only take 5 IGCSE’s or did you take more and only listed the A’s?
(More would be expected by Princeton).
You’d need 4 AS levels and 3 A Levels (or even 4), with predicted grades of A-A*.
In addition, you do need to take the SAT and the SAT Subjects.
I think perhaps you need to be a bit clearer.
What year are you in school?
My daughter did her IGCSE in 9th and 10th. Now she is in IB for 11th and 12.
Most American colleges recognize IB and A levels for admission.
IN ADDITION to have to complete the other standardized tests that are required of all applicants to certain schools.
In your case it might be SAT or ACT, SAT Subject Tests, TOEFL, etc.
Are you attending an international school?
