IGETC, AP tests and transfers.

Lets say I'm taking the french AP test....if i get a 4 or a 5 on it does it go towards my IGETC language requirement?

Also lets say I take the classes required for IGETC during my senior year. Do those classes taken go towards IGETC too?

if you took 2 or more years of language in high school, you can use that to satisfy the language requirement. at my cc, the language AP tests can be applied to humanities, but i dunno if that works for everyone.

and yes, the classes you took in your senior year count too

Thanks about the AP tests thing.

But about the classes. I mean classes taken at a CC.

yeah, that’s what i meant. sorry about the ambiguity. every class that you have taken at cc, no matter what time you took it, counts.

I took three years of language at HS, passed the 4 and 5 Language tests…so I never had to take the language courses in CCC. It’s better that way because then you can focus on your pre-reqs, and not have to worry about that since it’s all in the past.

Good luck. [:
