<p>I have a question about IGETC. If I am following the IGETC pattern, on Area 4, it says Social and Behavior Science: 3 courses, 9 units. What if I took four courses or more under that category with more than 9 units? </p>

<p>You fulfill the requirement. Be careful though, I think some have to be under certain disciplines.</p>
<p>also be advised many low-unit classes are not UC transferrable; for example at my school all transferrable classes are 3+ units</p>
<p>If you take more, it will not affect you in any way. Generally speaking people will take a bunch of additional courses in a specific area above the requirements for IGETC because they need the courses for their major.</p>
<p>I am taking additional courses in a particular area because I like the courses that I am taking but as long as they're UC transferable, I could still take it, right?</p>
