Hi guys! So currently I’m a transfer at UCLA, this is my first quarter here & I’m absolutely loving it! I just got an email from admissions saying they didn’t get my IGETC certification… The problem is that I went to 3 different community colleges because some of the courses I needed were not available at the CC I was attending. So my question is who do I go to, to get my IGETC certification? The last CC I went to or the one I took most of my classes at? I tried contacting my CC and they still did not get back to me yet, thank you!
Who did you fill out your paperwork with to establish your IGETC certification? You have to fill out a form or ask a counselor or someone at the school that you graduated from/transferred from to fill out a petition for your IGETC certification before transferring, to show that you are IGETC certified.
Here is what they say online:
Did you happen to attend the LACCD system of colleges? If you did, it’s pretty easy to have the IGETC completed. I just went to the first community college I attended/the closest one to where I live, and I checked an option called “pass along” and listed the various community colleges where I took courses for IGETC. I think I took them spread out over five community colleges myself, so it was quite a bit easier than I was expecting
